Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue massage is very effective in treating chronic problems such as stiff necks, strained or twisted shoulder muscles, and lower back stiffness or pain. It is also highly beneficial in reducing pain and discomfort in conditions such as whiplash and after a fall or an injury. Patients who suffer from deep seated muscle tension and pain like those who suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic muscle pain or fatigue, muscle cramps and tendonitis often find pain relief with deep tissue massage therapy.

The purpose of deep tissue massage is to elongate the muscle fiber and loosen that hard to budge tension that’s deep within the muscle. Athletes have long been the recipients of deep tissue massages to relieve muscle pain and promote healing of over used muscles, to increase mobility and keep the muscles loose.

Don’t eat a heavy meal before the massage. If it’s your first time booking a home massage, get ready at least 10 minutes early to rest and relax before starting your session.

Full Body Lumphatic Massage

Our lymph system is like the garbage disposal for the body, trapping and flushing toxins. Unlike our cardiovascular system, however, the lymph system does not have a pump to move the fluid. Instead, the movement of the body is responsible for preventing the stagnation of toxins in the lymph.

If our lymph fluid isn’t flowing as it should, a myriad of problems can arise. The body faces an increased toxic burden that affects all of our systems. The immune system takes a big hit if the lymph tissues are trapping but not flushing toxins.

The massage is, on the whole, a very light technique. This is because the practitioner is trying to influence vessels that are situated in the skin layers. It may be as well to point out here that Manual Lymph Drainage is NOT the same as some of the ‘Lymph Drainage Massage’ offered by, for example, sports or Swedish-massage therapists which can be a very heavy technique indeed.

Swedish Massage

If it’s your first time booking a session, Swedish massage is the best kind to start with. Swedish Massage is great for easing stiff and tense muscles and increasing the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid around your body which encourages the release of stored toxins.

A system of long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration and shaking motions that apply pressure between muscles and bones, rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Great for first-timers and the gentle men and women who likes a proper and not to shabby quick perks to revitalize your day.

Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
